Heather Bain is excited to be a member of the We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym for All Kid – Brampton team. Along with her Algonquin College Social Services Worker Diploma and ongoing professional development, she has 30 years of experience working with elementary students. At school, as a Behavioural Teaching Assistant, she teaches students to recognize their emotions and how their emotions impact words, choices and actions. Heather shares problem solving strategies while social skills and anger management are taught through discussion or practiced during targeted yet fun lessons.
Helping children grow and mature and watching them flourish because of their enhanced skills, self esteem and self confidence while running proactive and reactive programs has been her passion and focus. Heather writes the family column for a free, quarterly, digital magazine called “United Colours of Design” sharing stories, strategies and activities. Parenting tips are shared through her facebook page called “Seeds of Success Children’s Coaching”. She is married and is the proud Mom of three adult children and is an even prouder Nana of four grandsons.
